I tried sending a message to my upline in Life Line, but he did not receive the message. Why not?

Your message may go to someone in your upline other than who you think it should go to. Messages go to your immediate upline 6 or 12 rank higher than you, or your immediate upline Trip Qualified member, depending on your situation. Please refer to Life Line Help for details. However, if you go to your Settings from the App menu, the upline who should receive your messages will be displayed there.
